FRAUD INVESTIGATIONS
Seeking the public’s assistance

LONDON, ON (June 17, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Financial Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in relation to multiple fraud investigations dating back to late April.

Between April 23 and June 15, 2026, a male suspect entered several businesses throughout London, where counterfeit banknotes were passed or attempts were made to pass them. 

The incidents were reported to police, and the investigations were reassigned to members of the LPS Financial Crime Unit. 

Investigators have provided photographs of the unidentified suspect in hopes that the public can assist in identifying him.

Members of the public and business owners are encouraged to remain vigilant when handling cash transactions and to report any suspicious activity.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to the investigation, or who may be able to identify the suspect, to contact investigators. 

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
