Police seek public’s help identifying suspect

LONDON, ON (September 11, 2026) – The London Police Service is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in connection with two arsons at a business near Oxford Street West and Westdel Bourne last month.

At approximately 4 a.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2026, a male suspect approached the business, lit a Molotov cocktail, and threw it at the front of the building, causing an explosion and damage to the property.

At approximately 3 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, the male suspect returned to the area and committed a second arson.

Officers responded and searched the area, but the suspect was not located.

Video surveillance footage of the incident was obtained. Investigators believe the same suspect may be responsible for both incidents. Images of the suspect are being released in the hope that someone can identify him.

During the August 23 incident, the suspect was wearing a black tracksuit, black shoes and a red-and-white brimmed hat.

During the August 29 incident, the suspect was wearing a grey tracksuit, grey slide sandals and black socks.
