Communications Operators receive 911 calls from members of the public and other agencies reporting emergency and non-emergency occurrences within the City of London and initiate the response of Police, Fire, Paramedics and/or other City services. Callers are often involved in stressful and life-threatening situations and Communication Operators respond in a professional, empathetic manner and act accordingly.

The Risk and Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for LPS risk management strategies as well as the LPS quality assurance program. This position will utilize risk management principles while conducting audits to reduce or mitigate risks to the LPS and its members, ensure legislative compliance and reinforce the LPS's commitment to public transparency by ensuring accountability.

The Supervisor, Human Resources, reports directly to the Director, Human Resources, and works cooperatively and collaboratively across the organization to support the achievement of divisional and organizational goals.
