Hire a Paid Duty Officer

Effective immediately, we will only field paid duty requests that are critical to city infrastructure or similar, as our main focus at this time is maintaining our front-line staffing levels.  As such, we are unable to guarantee that your request will be fulfilled.

If you have further questions or concerns, please email paiddutyadmin@londonpolice.ca and a paid duty administrator will get back to you as soon as possible.

In order to ensure our front-line staffing, we regret to inform you that we are unable to accept requests for paid duties greater than two weeks in advance.  This is being done to ensure the accurate and timely receipt of requests. Thank you for your patience.

All new customers will be required to create an account.

Customer links and a step-by-step information page will be available to help you create your new account.
Please follow the instructions carefully and contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Q: Are there any additional fees?

A: Standard rates apply for Officers and Vehicles. Additionally, a 15% administration fee and applicable taxes are included.

Q: Do I pay before or after my paid duty date?

A: Payment is made after the paid duty date and is due upon receipt of invoice.

Q: What payment methods are accepted besides credit card?

A: The only other method of payment is via cheque. If you encounter difficulties paying by credit card through the portal, please email paiddutyadmin@londonpolice.ca and you will be connected to Financial Services.

Q: When will I receive my invoice?

A: Invoices are issued no less than two weeks following the event date, in accordance with our payroll processing timeline.

Q: Where can I access my invoice for payment?

A: Once available, invoices may be retrieved via the OES portal on our website, or directly through the secure link provided by email.  After accessing your account you will see the following notification on your event if an invoice is available.  ‘Payment Due’ will be showing in red.

Click on ‘View Event’.  The amount due will be showing and an option to print your invoice.  Underneath that will be an area to add your credit card number.  Select ‘Process Payment’ after entering the number.

Q: Can the invoice be transferred to another individual or company?

Q: Must each invoice be paid separately if they fall within the same pay period?

A: If paying by credit card, each invoice must be paid separately through the portal. However, if paying by cheque, you may pay multiple invoices together within the same pay period.

Q: If an officer is released early from their paid duty, am I responsible for the full amount of time requested?

A: No, you are only charged for the time the officer was present at the paid duty. The only exception is if the officer is released in less than 3 hours, in which case the minimum charge of 3 hours still applies.

Q: Whom should I contact regarding questions about my invoice? Is it preferable to call or email?

A: For invoice-related questions, you can contact Financial Services. Email inquiries may be sent to paiddutyadmin@londonpolice.ca to request financial assistance. For miscellaneous questions, call Nettie at 519-452-5211. For complex issues, contact Ryan at 519-452-5955.

Q: How much time is allotted to settle the invoice?

A: Invoices are due upon receipt, but payment is expected within one month of the invoice being generated.
