TWO CHARGED IN NORTH-END SHOOTING
Major Crime investigation leads to arrests

LONDON, ON (October 2, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Major Crime Section have charged two London men following an extensive investigation into a shooting in the city’s north end this summer.

On August 9, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area of Kipps Lane and Arbour Glen Crescent. Two suspects were reported fleeing the area on foot before police arrived.

Investigators determined that two individuals had discharged firearms. While no one was injured, a vehicle leaving the area was struck by gunfire and multiple cartridge casings were recovered at the scene.

Following an extensive investigation, members of the LPS Major Crime Section identified two suspects. Both were arrested in late September.

Dante Guerrero, 19, and Kaleb Forden, 20, both of London, have been jointly charged with:

• Discharge a firearm in a reckless manner; and
• Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence.

Forden has additionally been charged with one count of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

“Gunfire in our neighbourhoods is unacceptable. Every time a firearm is discharged in our community, there is the potential for devastating consequences for innocent people,” said Detective Sergeant Micah Bourdeau of the LPS Major Crime Section. “Those who choose to use firearms in our city should expect our investigators to pursue every available avenue to identify those responsible and bring them before the courts. These arrests are the result of a determined and thorough investigation by our Major Crime investigators.”

The investigation remains ongoing. Investigators continue to ask anyone who was in the area between 12 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. on August 9, 2026, and who may have dash-cam, residential or business surveillance footage, to contact the London Police Service.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
