SUSPICIOUS FIRE 21-126037

OAKRIDGE DRIVE ARSON INVESTIGATION 

UPDATE – LONDON, ON (January 10, 2022) – Members of the LPS Street Crime Unit are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect in an arson that occurred on December 14, 2021. 

Video surveillance has been obtained. 

The suspect is described as wearing dark clothing, with a hooded sweater. 

Anyone with information in relation to this incident, or the identity of the individual in the video is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers. 

 

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (December 14, 2021) – On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at approximately 6:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a working fire at an unoccupied home in the 400-block of Oakridge Drive. 

The London Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire. 

The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation was assigned to members of the LPS Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the London Fire Department and the Office of the Fire Marshal. 

Riverside Drive was closed between Warren and Wonderland roads while emergency crews remained on scene. 

The damage is estimated to be approximately $1,000,000. 

The investigation is ongoing.
