REPLICA FIREARMS, DRUGS AND IDENTITY DOCUMENTS SEIZED
London man facing multiple charges

LONDON, ON (September 8, 2026) – A suspect was arrested within minutes of a weapons complaint Monday evening after a witness reported seeing what appeared to be a firearm pointed at a passing vehicle in east London.

On September 7, 2026, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a man was driving in the area of Belfield Street when he observed a suspect point what appeared to be a firearm toward the passenger side of his vehicle. The witness immediately contacted police.

Officers responded, located, and arrested a suspect a short distance away.

During a search following the arrest, officers located two replica firearms in the suspect's backpack.

One of the imitation firearms matched the description provided by the witness. As the investigation continued, officers also located several identification and banking documents belonging to other individuals, along with a quantity drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The following items were seized:

• Two replica firearms
• Multiple bank cards belonging to individuals other than the accused
• Health cards belonging to individuals other than the accused
• Membership cards belonging to individuals other than the accused

• A driver's licence belonging to an individual other than the accused
• Approximately 0.3 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
• Drug paraphernalia

As a result of the investigation, Ryan John Wilson, 46, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

• Pointing a firearm;
• Possession of an identity document;
• Possession of imitation weapon;
• Breach of probation; and
• Possession of a Schedule I substance.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.

The London Police Service would like to recognize the actions of the citizen in immediately reporting the incident, which led to the quick arrest of the accused by members of the LPS Uniformed Division.
