LONDON POLICE SERVICE CELEBRATES POLICE WEEK 2026
Protecting Ontario through Service
LONDON, ON (May 10, 2026) – The London Police Service (LPS) is recognizing Police Week 2026, taking place from May 10 – 16, by engaging with the community through a series of events focused on prevention, partnership, and service.
This year’s provincial theme, “Protecting Ontario through Service”, highlights the important role police services play in keeping communities safe while working collaboratively with residents and community partners.
Throughout the week, LPS members, both sworn and civilian police professionals, will be participating in events across the city designed to connect with the public, provide safety education, and celebrate policing as a profession.
Police Week 2026 – Community Events
Monday, May 11
• 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Coffee with the Community – Cherryhill Village Mall, 301 Oxford Street West (Food Court)
• 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.: Auto Theft Prevention Community Presentation and Safety Giveaway. Everyone who attends will also receive a free steering wheel locking device as part of Project Safe Auto. (Hosted by the Patrol Operations Investigative Section and Crime Prevention – London Police Headquarters, 601 Dundas Street).
Tuesday, May 12
• 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Coffee with the Community – CF Masonville Place, 1680 Richmond Street (Central court/Atrium)
Wednesday, May 13
• 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.: LPS Open House, London Police Headquarters, 601 Dundas Street (Community members are invited to enjoy station tours, games, a barbecue, family-friendly activities, and performances by the LPS Pipes and Drums.)
Thursday, May 14
• 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Coffee with the Community – White Oaks Mall, 1105 Wellington Road (Tim Hortons)
Friday, May 15
• 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Coffee with the Community – Covent Garden Market, 130 King Street (Second Floor)
In addition to in-person events, LPS will be sharing ‘Police Week’ photos and videos highlighting its members and leadership.
Members of the public are encouraged to stop by, say hello, and learn more about the work being done to keep London safe.
Police Week is an opportunity to recognize the dedication of police professionals and to strengthen relationships with the community through open dialogue and engagement.
