MAN CHARGED AFTER PERSONATING A POLICE OFFICER
Second suspect outstanding

LONDON, ON (June 5, 2026) – The London Police Service is investigating an incident in which suspects personated police officers and committed additional offences in the south-east end of the city earlier this week.

On June 2, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., two male suspects approached the male victim outside his home on River Road. One of the suspects identified himself as a police officer and told the victim he was under arrest. The victim questioned the suspects, who had arrived in a grey Jeep SUV dressed in street clothes. Unable to satisfy himself as to their identity, the victim ran to a nearby business for help. One of the suspects forced entry into the home and shortly afterwards both fled in the vehicle. The victim was uninjured.

One suspect was wearing a disposable-style facemask.

Investigators identified one of the suspects and on June 3, 2026, arrested the accused without incident at a residence on Ashley Crescent and seized a grey Jeep SUV.

Investigators continue to search for a second suspect described as a male, Black, approximately 6’4, wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

As a result of the investigation, Abdulla W. Kaddoura, 33, of Grand Bend, has been charged with the following offences:

·         Personating a peace officer;

·         Criminal harassment by repeated following;

·         Break and enter with intent; and

·         Disguise with intent.

The accused remains in custody and is expected to appear in London court on June 8, 2026.

This investigation remains ongoing. Investigators are appealing to members of the public who may have information, dash-cam footage, or video surveillance from the River Road area between 1 – 2 p.m., on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, that may assist in this investigation to contact the London Police Service.

The London Police Service reminds the public that police officers are issued with a badge and warrant card bearing their photograph, name, rank, and identification number. Officers in plainclothes are prepared to produce their identification; anyone who is unsure about the legitimacy of an interaction should ask to see the badge and warrant card and, when in doubt, contact police immediately.
