FEMICIDE INVESTIGATION
London man in custody

LONDON, ON (September 16, 2026) – Yesterday evening, September 15, 2026, at approximately 6:25 p.m., members of the London Police Service (LPS) responded to call for service at a residence on Chelton Road.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital by paramedic services and has since succumbed to those injuries.

An adult male was arrested at the scene. The victim and suspect were known to each other and involved in an intimate relationship.

There were additional family members at the residence at the time of the offence, none of which were injured during the incident.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of the LPS Major Crime Section.

Chelton Road was closed for a period of time in both directions as police remained on scene.

As a result of the investigation, Mandeep Singh, 41, of London, has been charged with second degree murder.

The investigation is in its early stages, and additional information will be shared as appropriate. 

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charge.
