FATAL SHOOTING INVESTIGATION

LONDON, ON (September 30, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section are investigating a fatal shooting in the downtown core.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, police responded to the area of Central Avenue and Richmond Street after receiving reports of a possible shooting.

An adult male was located with life-threatening injuries and transported to hospital by paramedic services, where he was later pronounced deceased.

A suspect male has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

Officers are actively investigating this matter and will maintain a visible presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., and who may have information, dash-cam footage, or residential or business video surveillance, to contact the London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
