London man suffers serious injuries
LONDON, ON (May 12, 2026) – The London Police Service is investigating a shooting that took place in the downtown core early Sunday morning.
Shortly after 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, an adult male attended the hospital with apparent gunshot wounds and hospital staff contacted police.
Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the incident occurred at an after-hours establishment located in the 600-block of Richmond Street. An altercation involving multiple individuals is believed to have taken place inside the establishment, during which the male victim was assaulted. When staff attempted to intervene, multiple gunshots were heard.
The victim sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section continue to investigate. Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area between 5:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., or who may have dash-cam or residential/business video surveillance footage, to contact the London Police Service.
Investigators remain committed to holding those responsible accountable and are actively pursuing individuals involved in firearm-related violence. Ensuring the safety of our community remains a priority, and we continue to work collaboratively to address and reduce gun violence in London.
