CRIMINAL HARASSMENT AND SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATIONS
London man arrested; investigators believe there may be additional victims
LONDON, ON (June 29, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service arrested a London man in relation to a series of offences, including two separate sexual assaults that occurred in early June in the south end of the city.
On Monday, June 8, 2026, between approximately 10:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m., police received multiple 9-1-1 calls from members of the public reporting erratic behaviour by a male in the area of Dudley Crescent and Millbank Drive. Callers advised that the individual was following children and engaging in assaultive and sexually assaultive behaviour toward others. A description of the suspect was provided to responding officers.
Officers attended the area and located the suspect in the 900-block of Southdale Road East, where he was placed under arrest.
As the investigation progressed, officers learned of several earlier incidents involving the same suspect.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., a woman walking with her children in the 1000-block of Southdale Road was followed by the suspect. When she confronted him, he assaulted her.
At approximately 9:10 a.m., a second woman walking with her children was approached and followed by the suspect. During this interaction, he engaged her in conversation before assaulting and sexually assaulting her.
At approximately 9:40 a.m., a third woman exiting a residence on Southdale Road East with a young child observed the suspect approaching. He spoke with her and followed her as she walked toward a nearby school. As they neared an intersection, the suspect assaulted and sexually assaulted the woman before leaving the area.
As a result of the investigation, Mandella Asouth, 29, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Two counts of sexual assault;
- Three counts of assault; and
- Three counts of criminal harassment by repeated following
The accused remains in custody.
The investigation was reassigned to members of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section (POIS) and investigators believe there may be additional members of the community who had interactions with the accused, including potential victims who have not yet been identified. Police are encouraging anyone who may have had contact with the accused to come forward and speak with investigators.
Police are also appealing to members of the public who were in the area of Millbank Drive near Southdale Road East and/or Dudley Crescent between approximately 8:20 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. on June 8, 2026. Anyone with information, dash-cam footage, or residential or business video surveillance is asked to contact police.
A photograph of the accused is being released in the hopes that members of the public come forward with additional information.
