CRIME PREVENTION WEEK 2026

London Police Service Promotes Community Partnerships for Crime Prevention Week 2026:
“Protecting Ontario Together”

LONDON, ON (November 2, 2026) – The London Police Service (LPS) is joining police services and community partners across Ontario to recognize Crime Prevention Week, taking place November 1-7, 2026. This year’s theme, “Protecting Ontario Together,” highlights the important role everyone plays in preventing crime and building safer communities.

Crime prevention is most effective when police, governments, community organizations, businesses, and residents work together. Through education, awareness, reporting, and community engagement, everyone can help reduce victimization and strengthen community safety.

As part of Crime Prevention Week, members of the LPS Crime Prevention Unit will be engaging directly with the community through information displays at local shopping centres.

Residents are encouraged to stop by, speak with officers, ask questions, and learn more about crime prevention resources and community safety initiatives.

Community Displays

Tuesday, November 3, 2026
CF Masonville Place – Centre Court
12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, November 5, 2026
White Oaks Mall – Main Court (in front of IKEA)
10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

“Community safety is strongest when everyone plays a role,” said A/Inspector Michelle Romano, Community Policing Section. “Crime Prevention Week is an opportunity to share practical safety information, build connections within our community, and encourage residents to take steps to protect themselves and others.

We invite the public to visit us at our community displays throughout the week and to follow the London Police Service on social media as we share crime prevention tips, resources, and information that can help keep our community safe.”

Residents who witness suspicious activity or become victims of crime are encouraged to report it through the appropriate reporting channels. Information shared by the public helps identify patterns, support investigations, and address emerging community safety concerns.

Crime Prevention Week is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) and the Government of Ontario.
