CRIME PREVENTION WEEK 2025

LONDON POLICE SERVICE LAUNCHES CRIME PREVENTION WEEK
“Working Together to Protect Ontario”

LONDON, ON (November 3, 2025) – The London Police Service is kicking off Ontario’s annual Crime Prevention Week, running until Saturday, November 8, 2025. The week-long promotion of crime prevention is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP), the Ministry of the Solicitor General, and police services across Ontario.

“Being aware of crime and understanding how the community and police can work together to prevent people from being victims of crime is the key to crime prevention.” said Inspector Pete Testa of the London Police Service Community Mobilization and Support Branch. “Living and working in a safe environment is vital to our personal and collective well-being. When someone is the victim of crime, it impacts not just the individual, but their families and the communities at large.”

Being aware of dangerous situations and preventing crime before it happens is a shared responsibility in Ontario. Everyone who lives, works or goes to school in Ontario deserves to feel safe.

Please join LPS officers and auxiliary members at the following locations throughout the week to learn more about crime prevention and safety:

  • Monday, November 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at CF Masonville Place, 1680 Richmond Street
  • Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., at White Oaks Mall, 1105 Wellington Road
  • Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at White Oaks Mall, 1105 Wellington Road
  • Friday, November 7, 2025, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., at CF Masonville Place, 1680 Richmond Street

In addition to the drop-in visits listed above, we also have a virtual Crime Prevention Session planned. You will hear from the London Police Service’s Crime Prevention Unit, as they share information about things you can do to help protect yourself from crime, including how to report a crime. There will be opportunities to chat with them and ask any questions you may have.
