STOLEN VEHICLE AND CASH RECOVED AFTER TWO BREAK AND ENTERS
Man facing multiple charges
LONDON, ON (June 15, 2026) – A 39-year-old Muncey man is facing several charges after a stolen pickup truck was used in two pharmacy break and enters early Sunday morning.
On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at approximately 1:15 a.m., members of the London Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress at a pharmacy located near King Edward Ave and Commissioners Road East. A suspect fled in a pickup truck prior to police arrival.
At approximately 2:10 a.m., an officer on patrol heard an alarm and observed an insecure door at a pharmacy located near Commissioners Road West and Wonderland Road South. As police arrived, a suspect fled from the pharmacy in a pickup truck.
A short time later, police received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting that a pickup truck had left the roadway, entered residential backyards and crashed into a ravine in the area of Colonel Talbot Road and Clayton Walk.
Officers located the unoccupied truck and through the course of the investigation, determined it was reported stolen earlier in the month.
At approximately 2:50 a.m., officers located and arrested the suspect male.
A search of the suspect vehicle resulted in the seizure of a quantity of Canadian currency.
The estimated damage to the pharmacies is approximately $27,000.
The investigation was reassigned to members of the Patrol Operations Investigative Section (POIS) and is ongoing.
As a result of the investigation, Garry Mitchell Snake, 39, of Muncey, has been charged with the following offences:
- Two counts of break and enter with intent;
- Two counts of disguise with intent;
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
- Impaired operation of a conveyance;
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance;
- Impaired operation of a conveyance; and
- Operation while prohibited.
The accused was also arrested on a number of outstanding warrants.
The accused is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
