London woman arrested

LONDON, ON (June 1, 2026) – A London woman was arrested over the weekend after assaulting police and uttering threats.

On May 30, 2026, at approximately 4:40 a.m., members of the London Police Service were in the area of Gerrard Street and Grand Avenue investigating an incident when they were approached by a female who spat at officers.

Officers advised the suspect that she was under arrest. The woman resisted and became combative, uttering threats of bodily harm and death toward officers.

Additional officers attended the scene to assist, and the woman was taken into custody and transported to London Police Headquarters.

No injuries were reported.

As a result of the investigation, Olivia Bentley, 22, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

• Two counts of assaulting a peace officer; and
• Uttering threats of death or bodily harm.

The accused appeared in London court on May 30, 2026, in relation to the charges.
