THREE CHARGED FOLLOWING ASSAULT IN FOOD COURT
Two adults and one youth arrested over weekend
LONDON, ON (March 30, 2026) – The London Police Service has charged three individuals following assaults that occurred at a shopping mall in the north end of the city Friday evening.
On March 27, 2026, at approximately 8 p.m., police were called to the 1600-block of Richmond Street, after receiving reports of a disturbance in the mall food court.
Police arrived on scene shortly after 8:10 p.m. and determined that a male suspect had pushed a female victim to the ground and struck her in the face.
When two bystanders attempted to intervene, the male suspect threatened one of them and assaulted the other. A second suspect kicked one of the bystanders and a third became involved in a separate incident during which she shoved one of the victims.
Police arrested three individuals, and as a result of the investigation:
Connor William Lin, 20, of London, has been charged with:
- Three counts of assault;
- Uttering threats of death or bodily harm; and
- Obstruct a peace officer
Cortney Bagyan, 21, of London, has been charged with:
- Assault; and
- Accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence.
A 16-year-old London girl, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with:
- Assault
The accused and victims are not known to each other.
One victim sustained minor injuries. Two others were not injured.
Connor Lin is appearing in London court today and Cortney Bagyan is expected to appear on April 27, 2026.
