Seeking the public’s assistance
LONDON, ON (April 27, 2026) – Members of the London Police Service Patrol Operations Investigative Section (POIS) are seeking the public’s assistance following an assault that occurred over the weekend in the downtown core.
On Sunday, April 26, 2026, at approximately 3:20 a.m., a woman was entering a building in the 600‑block of Talbot Street near John Street when she was approached and assaulted by an unknown male. The suspect fled the area on foot.
Police were contacted and responded to the area. A description of the suspect male was provided; however, officers were unable to locate him.
The suspect is described as male, White, approximately 6”, 30 – 45 years of age, medium build, with a short grey beard. He was wearing a black hoodie, a light brown winter hat, brown pants and brown work boots.

The victim sustained minor injuries requiring medical attention.
Photos of the suspect are being released in an effort to assist investigators in identifying him.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have information in relation to this incident, or who may have been in the area of Talbot Street and John Street between 3:10 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. and may have dash‑cam, residential, or business surveillance footage, to contact the London Police Service.
