Police Pal program brings comfort to kids in tough times 

When a child is involved or witness to emotional or physical trauma, it can be overwhelming for them. But thanks to the generous support of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU), London police officers can provide children with a ‘Police Pal’ to help comfort them in difficult situations. 

When police are called to an incident where a child is present, officers can give one of the German Shepard stuffed toys to help comfort them in what can be emotionally or physically traumatic situations.

The program was started in 1990 and has delivered thousands of the donated toys over the years. YNCU has supported the program since 2016 and has provided nearly 2,500 stuffed toys since.
