WEAPONS INVESTIGATION
Seeking the public’s assistance
LONDON, ON (January 21, 2025) – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects in relation to a weapons investigation from late last week.
On Friday, January 17, 2025, at approximately 6:40 p.m., three men wearing masks approached two employees leaving a business in the area of Spanner and First streets.
One of the suspects brandished a gun and demanded the employees take them inside of the business.
An interaction between one of the employees and one of the suspects occurred before all three suspects fled from the area on foot.
No physical injuries were reported.
Officers including members of the LPS Uniformed Division and Canine Unit responded to the area.
None of the suspects were located.
The investigation has been reassigned to the LPS Street Crime Unit who are appealing to the public to assist with identifying the suspects.
One suspect is described as male, wearing dark pants, black jacket with the hood up, black gloves and white shoes. The second suspect is described as male, wearing dark pants, wearing a black jacket with the hood up, blue surgical gloves, black shoes and carrying a backpack, and the third suspect is described as male, wearing a black puffer winter jacket with the hood up, dark pants, white shoes, black gloves and also carrying a backpack.
Investigators are asking any member of the public that may have information in relation to this investigation, who these suspects are or that may have been in the area of the Spanner and First streets or Highbury Avenue North and Dundas Street between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., on Friday, January 17, 2025, who may have dash-cam, residential or business video surveillance that could assist with the investigation, to contact investigators.
