WEAPONS INVESTIGATION
London man charged

LONDON, ON (May 27, 2025) – A London man has been arrested after members of the London Police Service responded to a weapons call in the city’s downtown core last night.

Shortly before 10 p.m., last night, police were called after a man was seen showing citizens what appeared to be an alleged firearm in the area of Wellington Street and Horton Street East.

A description of the suspect was provided to police.

Officers located and arrested the man still in the area.

A BB style replica handgun was located and seized.

As a result of the investigation, Brian Robert Redmond, 37, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Carry a concealed weapon; and,
  • Possession of an imitation weapon.

The accused is scheduled to appear in London court on July 10, 2025, in relation to the charges.
