ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON INVESTIGATION
Seeking the public’s assistance
LONDON, ON (November 29, 2024) – Members of the London Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance after employees of a business in the south end of the city were assaulted with a noxious substance yesterday afternoon.
On Thursday, November 28, 2024, at approximately 4 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in progress at a business in the 600-block of Wilkins Street.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a male suspect had entered a business and sprayed a male employee with pepper spray. Another employee attempted to stop the suspect from leaving the store and was also sprayed as a result.
The male fled from the store on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as male, White, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing black pants, black shoes, a black sweater, black balaclava, and what appeared to be a pair of safety glasses. (Photos of the suspect have been attached to the website)
Two individuals were transported to hospital for observation.
The investigation is ongoing. Investigators are asking members of the public who may have been in the area at the time, or who may have dash-cam footage or video surveillance, to contact them.
