WEAPONS INVESTIGATION
Seeking assistance from the public 

LONDON, ON (December 21, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section are investigating after being notified that a man attended the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound early Monday morning.

On Monday, December 19, 2022, at approximately 9:45 a.m., police responded to the hospital in relation to a weapons investigation. A man had arrived in the hospital with a gunshot wound from an overnight incident that was said to have taken place outside residences in the 300-block of Hilton Avenue. 

Between 2 – 3 a.m., on December 19, the victim allegedly approached two unknown men outside a residence, when one of the men produced a firearm. The victim was shot by the man and suffered minor injuries. He attended the hospital the following morning.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of our Major Crime Section and is ongoing.
