Female arrested, male charged by way of warrant of arrest
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (July 15, 2022) – Investigators have identified two suspects in relation to a weapons investigating dating back to May 27, 2022.
As a result of the investigation, the following charges have been laid:
Ahmed Abdalla Hashim, 19, of Toronto, has not been located, and as such, has been charged by way of warrant of arrest, with the following offences:
- Pointing a firearm;
- Discharge firearm with intent to wound/endanger life or prevent arrest;
- Occupy motor vehicle with firearm;
- Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm;
- Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition;
- Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence; and
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
Althea Christopher, 19, of London, has been charged with the following offences:
- Occupy motor vehicle with firearm; and
- Accessory after the fact to commit indictable offence.
Althea Christopher is currently in custody, and is expected to appear in London court today, while police continue to search for Ahmed Hashim.

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (May 27, 2022) – Members of the LPS Major Crime Section are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a weapons investigation in the downtown core overnight.
On Friday, May 27, 2022, at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting that someone had fired a gun in the 500-block of Richmond Street.
Upon arrival, officers located evidence that a gun had been fired.
The investigation revealed that a male suspect was involved in an altercation inside of a downtown establishment prior to the reported incident. There were no reported injuries and no damage located.
Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male believed to be involved. He is described as male, Black, with a lighter complexion, in his early 20s, with braided hair in cornrows, a thin build, and wearing a black and blue hooded sweater, black shoes and dark pants.
The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are asking anyone who may have information or video of the incident, to please contact police.
