THEFT AND WEAPONS INVESTIGATION
London woman in custody

LONDON, ON (June 6, 2025) – A London woman has been charged after members of the London Police Service responded to a theft and weapons call in the west end of the city last night.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 5, 2025, a citizen called 9-1-1 when an unknown female stole her cellphone after placing it down inside a business in the area of Wonderland Road North and Farrah Road.

Two bystanders attempted to stop the suspect when she brandished a knife before fleeing the area on foot.

Police received a second 9-1-1 call when the suspect female entered into another business in the area of Wonderland Road North and Horizon Drive still holding the knife.

Officers located and arrested the woman a short time later.

The knife was seized and the victim’s cellphone recovered.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was transported to police headquarters and as officers removed the woman from the police vehicle, a brief altercation occurred resulting in one of the officers being bitten by the female.

As a result of the investigation, Sae Taylor Kittridge, 27, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

• Theft under $5000;
• Possession of a weapon;
• Resist arrest; and,
• Assault a peace officer.

The accused remains in custody is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
