The London Police Service announces Chief’s Gala in support of Bethanys Hope Foundation and Victim Services of Middlesex-London
London, Ontario – (November 20, 2025) The London Police Service (LPS) is proud to announce the upcoming Chief’s Gala, an evening dedicated to community, compassion, and support for two impactful organizations: Bethanys Hope Foundation and Victim Services of Middlesex-London (VSML).
The Gala will take place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at RBC Place London, bringing together community leaders, partners, and residents for an unforgettable evening where we recognize the service of our members and fundraise for two impactful charities.
This year’s charitable beneficiaries were selected as follows: Bethanys Hope Foundation was chosen by members of the LPS through a voting process, while VSML was selected by Chief Thai Truong. This dual selection process reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting causes that matter deeply to both our membership and leadership.
Bethanys Hope Foundation continues its mission to fund research and provide hope for families affected by Metachromatic Leukodystrophy MLD, while VSML offers critical support and resources to individuals impacted by crime and tragic circumstances.
“This event reflects our commitment to strengthening community partnerships and supporting organizations that make a real difference in people’s lives,” says Chief Truong. “We invite you to join us for an evening that celebrates the commitment of our members and the resilience, compassion, and hope these two great organizations represent.”
“We are extremely grateful to have been selected as one of the Community Partners for the Annual Chief’s Gala (2026) by the membership of the LPS! It is truly another “Badges of Hope” initiative to generate research funds to end this nightmare for the MLD children,” says Lindey McIntyre, Executive Director of Bethanys Hope Foundation.
“On behalf of VSML, I would like to thank Chief Truong, the LPS and Board for selecting VSML to be one of the Beneficiaries of the 2026 LPS Chief’s Gala Appreciation Dinner & Awards Night. This announcement immediately reinforced to me how much Chief Truong and his officers value what VSML staff and volunteers do everyday to strengthen our community and improve our partnership with the LPS,” said Brad Thompson, Executive Director of VSML.
Last year's Gala raised more than $222,000 for Youth Opportunities Unlimited and the Canadian Mental Health Association. The overwhelming success of the Chief’s inaugural gala was made possible by our generous sponsors, our supportive community, and inspiring leaders—together, you created lasting, meaningful impact for those who need it most.
