SUSPICIOUS FIRE INVESTIGATION


LONDON, ON (July 18, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service are investigating a suspicious fire that took place overnight in the downtown core.

On Friday, July 18, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a residential fire in the 900-block of Dufferin Avenue.

Members of the London Fire Department extinguished the fire.

Neighboring residences were evacuated as a precaution.

There were no reported injuries.

The damage estimate is unknown at this time.

The fire was deemed to be suspicious in nature and the investigation has been reassigned to members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit, who are working in partnership with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office.

If anyone was in the area at the time of the reported incident, or has dash-cam, residential or business surveillance footage that can assist with the investigation, they are asked to contact us.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
