SCHOOL BUS STRUCK BY STOLEN VEHICLE
Two suspects arrested
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (May 16, 2022) – Two suspects were arrested this afternoon in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation that commenced in London early this morning.
Two suspects, a male and female, entered a residence in the 1700-block of Jalna Boulevard and robbed the occupants of keys to their vehicle shortly before 8 a.m. The suspects fled southbound from the area in the stolen vehicle. London police were contacted.
Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the two suspects involved in the break and enter and robbery were the same suspects involved in a motor vehicle collision in the area of Jalna Boulevard and Josselyn Drive.
Neighbouring police services were notified of the incident, and a description of the stolen vehicle and suspects were provided.
London police were notified this afternoon that two suspects were arrested by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) outside of the city.
The investigation is ongoing.
ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (May 16, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit are investigating after a reported stolen vehicle struck a school bus in the south end of the city early this morning.
At approximately 7:40 a.m., a school bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck in the area of Jalna Boulevard and Josselyn Drive. There were no children on the bus at the time of the collision, and no reported injuries.
Two suspects, a male and female, fled from the involved vehicle on foot.
Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that the vehicle involved was reported stolen.
The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
