STABBING INVESTIGATION
18-year-old arrested

LONDON, ON (May 20, 2025) – An 18-year-old London male was arrested last weekend in relation to a stabbing that took place in the downtown core.

On Sunday, May 11, 2025, shortly after 10 p.m., two males were walking in the 200-block of Wellington Street when they observed a group of people following behind them. Recognizing one of the males from previous dealings, they feared for their safety and called a friend who joined them a short distance away.

In the 100-block of Waterloo Street, the two groups of individuals were involved in a disturbance and one of the males produced a knife.

The suspect male attempted to stab one of the males, however, the victim moved and was not injured. The suspect proceeded to stab a second male multiple times. The same suspect male struck a third male over the head with an unknown object and fled on foot from the area.

A number of officers responded to the disturbance and located a victim with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Paramedic services attended and transported the victim of the stabbing to the hospital.

The second victim sustained minor injuries.

The victims and witnesses were able to positively identify the suspect male, and police attended a nearby residence where he was arrested.

As a result of the investigation, Warren Guage Phillips, 18, of London, has been charged with the following offences:

• Two (2) counts of assault with a weapon; and
• Aggravated assault.

The accused is re-appeared in London court today in relation to the charges.
