14-year-old male arrested
LONDON, ON (September 6, 2024) – A 14-year-old male was arrested in relation to a stabbing in the east end of the city earlier this week.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a group of males were together at a business in the 1000-block of Commissioners Road East. Two males were involved in an altercation, and one male was stabbed by another multiple times.
The victim fled from the suspect on foot and 9-1-1 was called.
Emergency crews responded to the area and located a victim with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital by paramedic services.
The suspect male was located and arrested shortly before midnight in the north end of the city.
The suspect and victim were known to each other.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old male, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with aggravated assault.
The accused is expected to appear in London court on September 11, 2024, in relation to the charge.
