MAN SUSTAINS INJURY

LONDON, ON (March 19, 2026) – The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked their mandate following a police interaction involving a male in distress yesterday.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., London police responded to an incident in the east end of the city after a male refused to stop at an intersection that had been closed due to an ongoing traffic investigation. Police located the individual in his vehicle and observed that he was in distress. Officers used force to break a window of the vehicle in order to safely remove the male, who was then apprehended and transported to hospital.

As a result of an interaction with police, the male sustained an injury requiring medical attention.
