MAN TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL
Special Investigations Unit investigating 

LONDON, ON (March 14, 2023) – Over the weekend, police were involved in a lengthy investigation into a homicide that took place in the 600-block of Kipps Lane. 

At approximately 5 a.m., on Saturday, March 11, 2023, a man was located with multiple stab wounds at an apartment building located at 621 Kipps Lane and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

A suspect barricaded himself inside of an apartment and was believed to be in possession of a firearm. 

Police negotiated with the suspect throughout the day.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., the suspect male discharged a firearm at police, resulting in one officer sustaining serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and the other critical, but non-life-threatening injuries. Both officers were transported to hospital by paramedic services.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., the suspect male was arrested.

Following his arrest, while in custody, the accused complained of pain and was transported to hospital as a precaution. It was determined in hospital that he had suffered an injury.
