COLLISION LEADS TO SERIOUS INJURIES
Special Investigations Unit investigating
UPDATE – LONDON, ON (September 22, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service have laid charges in relation to an investigation earlier this month.
Randy Dale Jones, 44, of Manitowaning, has been charged with the following offences:
- Three counts of fail to stop at scene of accident causing bodily harm;
- Fail to stop for police/pursuit;
- Three counts of dangerous operation causing bodily harm;
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance;
- Fail to stop at scene of accident;
- Race a motor vehicle; and
- Driving while under suspension.
The accused is in custody in another jurisdiction and as such, the charges have been laid by way of warrant of arrest.
One individual transported to hospital has succumbed to their injuries. The investigation remains ongoing, and charges may be amended as appropriate.

ORIGINAL - LONDON, ON (September 11, 2025) – The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating a collision that occurred yesterday in the city’s downtown core.
On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at approximately 3 p.m., an officer observed a pickup truck being operated with a person in the bed of the truck in the area of King and Maitland streets. The officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the driver of the vehicle fled from the marked police cruiser.
A short time later the officer came upon a two-vehicle collision involving the suspect vehicle in the area of Queen and William streets.
The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene.
Four people were transported to hospital by paramedic services with injuries ranging from minor to serious-life-threatening.
The road closures remain in effect, and the investigation is ongoing.
