SERIOUS ASSAULT INVESTIGATION
Seeking the public’s assistance
LONDON, ON (October 7, 2025) – One suspect has been arrested, and members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a second suspect in relation to a serious assault from late last week.
At approximately 8 p.m., on Friday, October 3, 2025, police were called to a disturbance in the area of Shelborne Street and Deveron Crescent.
Officers arrived and located a male victim with serious injuries. The male was transported to hospital by paramedic services.
Police learned two male suspects attended a residence looking for the victim.
The three became involved in an argument before the suspects brandished weapons and assaulted the victim.
During the altercation a neighbour’s property was damaged.
Police located and arrested one of the suspects a short distance away still in the area while the second suspect fled the area in a vehicle.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the outstanding suspect and the vehicle he fled the area in.

The male suspect is described as male, Indigenous, approximately 25 years old, medium build and was wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. He left in a silver Cadillac SUV with Ontario license plate DETL 324.
Investigators are working to obtain a photo of the suspect but have included a photo of the vehicle in hopes it can assist in identifying him.
The suspect arrested a short distance away has been identified as Tehohalet Powless, 43, of London, and has been charged with the following offences:
· Aggravated assault; and,
· Mischief under $5000.

The accused has appeared in court and is scheduled to re appear in London court on October 24, 2025, in relation to the charges.
Investigators are asking anyone that may have been in the area between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. that can identify the suspect or the suspect vehicle, or have additional business, residential or dash-cam video footage that could assist with the investigation to contact the London Police Service.
Additionally, police are urging anyone with information in relation to the investigation or the individual charged to call the London Police Service.
