ORIGINAL - LONDON, ON (June 29, 2023) – Members of the London Police Service Street Crime Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a robbery that took place earlier this month in the east end of the city.
At approximately 9 a.m., on June 19, 2023, a male entered a grocery store located in the 1200-block of Oxford Street East, chose items from the store and proceeded to exit without making any attempt to pay for the items.
A staff member approached the suspect male and engaged in conversation about the stolen items.
The suspect male proceeded to assault the staff member before fleeing from the area on foot.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
A photograph of the suspect male was obtained. We are sharing it with the public in hopes that someone is able to assist us in identifying him.
The suspect is described as male, White, approximately 5’7”, thin build, with a full beard.
