ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
No reported injuries 

LONDON, ON (October 4, 2022) – Members of the LPS Street Crime Unit are investigating a carjacking that took place early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, October 2, 2022, shortly after 4:30 a.m., police responded to a parking lot in the 600-block of Southdale Road East in relation to a reported robbery.

A man and woman advised police that they were seated in a running vehicle, when they were approached by an unknown man who produced a firearm and demanded they exit the car and provide him with their cellphones.

The man entered the driver seat of the vehicle and fled the area in the stolen vehicle eastbound from the parking lot.

There were no reported injuries.

The two cellular phones were located nearby.

The suspect is described as male, Black, slim build, wearing dark clothing.

The stolen vehicle is a 2013 4-door Silver Mazda M3I, with Ontario licence plates CMDA 607.
