ROBBERY INVESTIGATION
London man charged
LONDON, ON (October 25, 2022) – A London man was arrested yesterday in relation to a robbery in the north end.
On Monday October 24, 2022, at approximately 8:50 a.m., a man entered a business in the area of Fanshawe Park Road East and Adelaide Street North, and selected and concealed various items within a cart. The man proceeded to leave the store without making any attempt to pay and was approached by security outside of the store.
The man produced a hammer, made threats towards security and fled the area on a bicycle.
No injuries were sustained.
Police were contacted and arrested the male nearby without incident. All stolen items were recovered.
As a result of this investigation, Robert Charboneau, 45, of London, has been charged with one (1) count of robbery.
The accused has been released from custody and is expected to appear in London court on December 5, 2022.
