ONGOING INVESTIGATION
Body located in water 

UPDATE – LONDON, ON (September 20, 2022) – The deceased individual is confirmed to be an adult male, and the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature. 

Members of the Major Crime Section are in the early stages of the investigation and are assisting the Chief Coroner. 

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (September 19, 2022) – At approximately 12:20 p.m., police responded to the area of Jackson Road and Evans Boulevard after receiving a 9-1-1 call in relation to a citizen locating what appeared to be a body in the pond.

Upon police arrival, an individual was located in the river, and that individual was found to be deceased.

The investigation is in its early stages and has been reassigned to members of the Major Crime Section.

We are asking members of the public to avoid the area while police remain on scene.

We will share more information as it becomes available.
