UPDATE- LONDON, ON (July 25, 2022) – The deceased individual is confirmed to be an adult female, and the death does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

No further identifying information is being released at this time.

Members of the Major Crime Section continue to assist the Chief Coroner with this investigation.

LONDON, ON (July 22, 2022) – At approximately 8:30 a.m., police responded to the area of Wellington Road and Commissioners Road East after receiving a 9-1-1 call in relation to a citizen locating what appeared to be a body in an open field.

Upon police arrival, an individual was located, and that individual was found to be deceased.

The investigation is in its early stages and has been reassigned to members of the LPS Major Crime Section.

We are asking members of the public to avoid the area while police remain on scene.
