FATAL COLLISION IN SOUTH END OF CITY

Investigation ongoing

UPDATE # 3 – LONDON, ON (January 26, 2021) – The investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that took place on January 24, 2022, in the south end of the city continues. 

The male driver has been identified as 48-year-old Christian Kiev Campbell, of St. Thomas. 

Members of the LPS Traffic Management Unit continue to urge anyone who was on Highbury Avenue South at approximately 2:50 p.m. that date, or who may have dash-cam video that could assist with the investigation, to contact the London Police Service.

UPDATE # 2 – LONDON, ON (January 25, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit continue to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision that took place in the south end of the city yesterday afternoon.

The 48-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the 66-year-old female driver of the second vehicle was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators are urging anyone who was on Highbury Avenue South at approximately 2:50 p.m., or who may have dash-cam video that could assist with the investigation, to contact the London Police Service.

ORIGINAL – LONDON, ON (January 24, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service are investigating a collision in the south end of the city.

At approximately 2:50 p.m., emergency crews responded to the area of Highbury Avenue and Westminster Drive in relation to a serious motor vehicle collision.

One driver was transported to hospital by Paramedic Services.

Highbury Avenue remains closed in both directions between Westminster and Scotland drives.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of the Traffic Management Unit and is ongoing. We are asking drivers to remain out of the area.
