MALE ATTENDED HOSPITAL WITH GUNSHOT WOUND

LONDON, ON (July 4, 2023) – Members of the London Police Service Major Crime Section are investigating after a man attended the hospital early this morning with a reported gunshot wound. 

At approximately 8 :20 a.m., police responded to a hospital in relation to a weapons investigation after receiving information that a male had arrived with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that the reported shooting may have taken place in the area of Hamilton Road and Rectory Street earlier in the morning. The area was searched for physical evidence in relation to a shooting, and police are no longer on scene.   

The victim has since been discharged from the hospital. 

The investigation was reassigned to members of the LPS Major Crime Section and is in its early stages.
