LONDON POLICE SERVICE SEEKS CONTINUED PUBLIC INPUT
LONDON POLICE SERVICE SEEKS CONTINUED PUBLIC INPUT ON OUR OPEN-AIR SUBSTANCE USE STRATEGY
LONDON, ON (November 13, 2025) - The London Police Service (LPS) is inviting community members to provide continued input on our Open-Air Substance Use Strategy through a follow-up survey now available online.
Launched in April 2025, the strategy is a collaborative approach focused on community safety, wellbeing, and connecting individuals to supports while addressing open-air substance use in public spaces. LPS greatly valued the responses to the initial survey, which offered important insight into the community’s experiences. This follow-up survey gives residents, and recent visitors to Downtown an opportunity to share additional feedback, helping guide the ongoing work of the strategy across the Downtown, Midtown, and Old East Village.
“The Open-Air Substance Use Strategy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and engagement,” said Chief Thai Truong. “As we reach the seven-month mark, this follow-up survey is an important opportunity to learn from our community. Your input will help us measure what’s working, identify barriers, and strengthen our approach moving forward.”
The survey is voluntary and anonymous, and responses will inform the next phase of the strategy to ensure it continues to meet community needs.
Community members are encouraged to share their perspectives by completing the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LPSOpenAir_6Month

The LPS continues to work alongside public-health, social service, and community partners to ensure the strategy promotes safety, compassion, and dignity for all.
