KIDNAPPING INVESTIGATION
Victim located safe   

LONDON, ON (July 12, 2022) – Members of the LPS Major Crime Section are investigating the kidnapping of an adult male that took place over the weekend.

On Sunday, July 10, 2022, the London Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress in the east end of the city.

While investigating the break and enter, information was received that an adult male resident of the home was located east of the city, and that he may have been the victim of kidnapping. The victim was assaulted and left outside of the city limits. He contacted police from a nearby residence.

The investigation revealed that the victim was kidnapped from the home by individuals known to him.  Cash and property was stolen by the suspects.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

The investigation was turned over to the Major Crime Section. 

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals have been charged with the following offences by way of warrant of arrest:

Dylan Peter Shawn Slota, 22, of London, has been charged with:

• Kidnapping;
• Break and enter and theft; and
• Robbery. 

Devan Ray Gee, 24, of Ingersoll, has been charged with:

• Kidnapping; and
• Robbery. 

The accused persons have not been located, and officers continue to search for them.

The investigation is ongoing.
