JUDICIAL AUTHORIZATION FOR LIMITED PUBLICATION ORDER

LONDON, ON (December 19, 2025) – The London Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a young person who is currently the subject of a judicial authorization permitting limited publication of identifying information.

WARNING - The publication of this information is strictly limited to the terms of the Court’s authorization. Once the young person is located or the order expires in five days, all media outlets and individuals must remove and cease distributing this information immediately.

Following an ex parte application heard on December 19, 2025, the Court granted permission under section 110(4) of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA) to release specific details solely for the purpose of assisting in locating the young person and ensuring their safety and the safety of the public.

Name: Cayden Shoemaker
Age: 16
Description: Male, White, 5’3”, 145 lbs., slim build, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes
Last Known Location: Chatham, Ontario 

The accused is charged by way of warrant of arrest in relation to the following offences: 

·       Discharge a firearm in a reckless manner;

·       Disguise with intent;

·       Possess loaded/unloaded regulated firearm;

·       Possess restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence; and

·       Occupy motor vehicle with firearm/etc.
