Pedestrian seriously injured
LONDON, ON (April 2, 2026) – A London driver is facing multiple charges following a serious collision in the downtown core.
On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at approximately 9:10 p.m., emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and another vehicle in the area of Dundas and Quebec streets. Upon arrival, police located a pedestrian with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other involved vehicle sustained minor injuries. Both were transported by paramedic services.
A 17-year-old male driver was located and arrested a short distance away in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old London male, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with the following offences:
· Impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm
· Dangerous operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm
· Impaired operation of a conveyance
· Dangerous operation of a conveyance
· Fail to comply with demand made by peace officer
· Red light – fail to stop
The accused is expected to appear in London court today in relation to the charges.
