London man charged

UPDATE #3 - LONDON, ON (August 15, 2022) - Previously wanted male, Antony Centeno-So, has been arrested and is currently in custody. He is due to appear in court tomorrow. We would like to thank the public for their help in sharing the information.

UPDATE # 2 – LONDON, ON (August 11, 2022) – Members of the LPS Major Crime Section have identified a suspect in relation the homicide of Devon Cherrey-Rooke on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

As a result of the investigation, Antony Centeno-So, 27, of London, has been charged by way of warrant of arrest for second degree murder.

The accused has not been located, and as such, a photo of him is being released.

The victim and the accused were known to each other.

UPDATE # 1 – LONDON, ON (August 9, 2022) – The LPS Major Crime Section continues to investigate a homicide that occurred in the morning of Sunday August 7, 2022.

The victim in this matter has been identified as 31-year-old Devon Cherrey-Rooke, of London. His death was caused as a result of a fatal stab wound.

No arrests have been made.

Police continue to appeal to witnesses who may have any information to contact London Police Service or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

LONDON, ON (August 7, 2022) – The London Police Service is investigating a homicide which took place this morning.

Around 6:30 a.m. members of the London Police Service as well as Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services responded to the 400 block of Clarke Road after receiving a 911 call requesting assistance for an injured male.

The male was transported by Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services to hospital for treatment, however he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The investigation is ongoing and has been taken over by the London Police Service’s Major Crime Section.

The name of the victim is being withheld at this time until next-of-kin have been notified.

Anyone who may have witnessed this event or has surveillance footage which may capture the area of Dundas Street, Clarke Road and Wavell Street is asked to call the London Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
