HIT-AND-RUN INVESTIGATION
London man facing charges 

UPDATE- LONDON, ON (October 7, 2022) – Members of the LPS Traffic Unit have identified and charged a man in relation to a hit and run which resulted in injuries to two pedestrians in the area of Fiddlers Green Road and Oxford Street West on October 3, 2022.
As a result of this investigation, Dean Ray Hammond, 47, of London has been charged with the following offenses:
  • Criminal negligence causing bodily harm; and
  • Two (2) counts of fail to stop after accident - bodily harm.
The accused is scheduled to appear in London court today in relation to his charges.

LONDON, ON (October 4, 2022) – Members of the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit are investigating a serious hit-and-run motor vehicle collision that took place in the area of Fiddlers Green Road and Oxford Street West last night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., police received reports of a hit-and-run collision in the west end of the city. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

One pedestrian was located with life-threatening injuries, while another sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to hospital by paramedic services.

The investigation has been reassigned to members of the LPS Traffic Management Unit and is in its early stages.

More information will be released to the public as the investigation continues.
