GUNS AND GANGS WARRANT 25-83500

FIREARMS AND PROHIBITED WEAPONS SEIZED
London man and woman facing charges

LONDON, ON (August 29, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service Guns and Gangs Section with the assistance of the LPS Emergency Response Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100-Block of Wellington Street earlier this week.

As a result of the search warrant the following items were seized:

  • Savage model 11 .223 calibre rifle;
  • Cooey Sureshot .22 calibre rifle with sawed off barrel;
  • PK 2307 assault style 7.62 calibre rifle;
  • 2 over capacity magazines;
  • 2 .177 pellet guns;
  • A large quantity of bulk rifle ammunition;
  • Prohibited switch blade; and,
  • Prohibited nun chucks.

As a result of the investigation Leslie Schmitt-Pfaff, 50, and Raymond Joseph Mathieu, 58, both of London have been jointly charged with the following offences:

  • Four (4) counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority unauthorized;
  • Two (2) counts of possession of a firearm other than a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence;
  • Possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a license and registration certificate; and,
  • Three (3) counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition.

Additionally, Raymond Joseph Mathieu, 58, has been charged with four (4) counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

Both accused remain in custody.

Leslie Schmitt-Pfaff is scheduled to reappear in London court today in relation to her charges.

Raymond Joseph Mathieu is scheduled to reappear in London court on September 2, 2025, in relation to his charges.
