FIRE INVESTIGATION

LONDON, ON (April 20, 2025) – Members of the London Police Service (LPS) Major Crime Section, along with the LPS Street Crime Unit, the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office and Chief Coroner, are investigating a residential fire that took place on Avalon Street on Thursday.

On April 17, 2025, at approximately 3 p.m., emergency crews responded to the 1800-block of Avalon Street in relation to a working fire at a residence.

An individual was located with serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by paramedic services.

Members of the London Fire Department attended to extinguish the fire.

The 39-year-old female victim has succumbed to her injuries in hospital. 

The London Police Service extends our condolences to the victim’s family, friends and loved ones.

The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided as appropriate.
